General Recommendations Prior to Carpet Cleaning

Depending on what service you choose, or what you want us to accomplish, WCS always advises our customers to move any breakable objects. For example, if you would like us to clean under a hutch full of dishes, we ask that you remove the breakables before we move the piece.

We also ask the client to move any small pieces of furniture if they are willing and capable of doing so. This applies to lamps knickknacks, photos (grandma’s ashes) and anything else that is valuable to you! If  you think you will need help,  please let us know when you schedule service. We are here to help in whatever way we can. We can and have many times, moved every piece of furniture in homes and businesses. Other Tampa carpet and upholstery cleaners simply refuse to do so as their insurance (if they have it) does not cover this. Although most our our customers really don’t care if their big furniture pieces like chests of drawers, dressers, beds, pianos, china cabinets get moved, we will if we are able to, and when you ask us to do so.

Your Valuables 

Some Tampa carpet & upholstery cleaning companies wouldn’t dare to mention this, but we take pride in transparency. We serve many high end customers who have a tendency to leave their valuables out in the open. Whether it is cash or jewelry or other valuables, we ask that you please put these items away. We are fully insured, but as we are moving about and moving furniture around, we believe these items are more secure when they are secured and out of the way.

Vacuuming Before a Deep Carpet Cleaning

If you wish to vacuum prior to our visit, please feel free to do so. We will still vacuum if needed, including under the beds and in between any gaps that we can get a vac wand into. As a general rule, we move night stands and smaller bedroom furniture, and clean around the remainder of items.

Moving Furniture & After Care of Furnishings

If we are cleaning carpets in the living area of your home, most everything gets moved. Sofas, chairs, end tables, ottomans—just about anything and everything will be moved. Although our technicians are tough, they are an all women team so they aren’t hulks! We try our best to do things smarter not harder. We use slides under the legs of heavy pieces for a simple back and forth move. We will place protective plastic tabs under any furniture that may have been moved and returned to a damp carpet.

Are You Required to be Present When We are Providing Carpet or Upholstery Cleaning Services?

No, and in fact, frequently our customers leave their residence fully in our care. Typically, we will call 30 minutes before we finish so you can return, inspect, and pay your invoice. Alternative payment options are available, please just let us know what you prefer when you schedule service. Some customers would rather provide us with a credit card prior to service or pay by check.
